Seven Mountains Media completed the frequency swap in Bowling Green KY on Thursday.
Country “Beaver 96.7” WBVR-FM Auburn has moved to the combo of 106.3 WOVO Horse Cave (now WBVR-FM) and the former Oldies 1340 WBGN/94.5 W233CZ Bowling Green as “Beaver 106.3“. The new Beaver lineup will feature Bailey Brooks and Dan Callahan in mornings, new cluster Operations Manager Paul Andresen in middays as “Buck Wilder”, Alan Austin in afternoons, and Townsquare Media/Compass Media Networks’ “Taste of Country Nights” hosted by Evan Paul at night.
With the move of Beaver, 96.7 adopts the WOVO call letters and flips to they company’s Classic Country brand as “Bigfoot Legends 96.7“. That station will feature Silverfish Media’s “Big D and Bubba” in mornings and Carsen in middays. James Coates will host afternoons with WFGY Altoona PA PD/afternoon host Tom ‘Cadillac Jack’ Kapsalis tracking nights.
Andresen joins Seven Mountains as Operations Manager from Midwest Communications Hot AC 101.9 KELO-FM Sioux Falls SD where he was Program Director since February 2021. He has also been Operations Manager for Golden Isles Broadcasting in Brunswick GA and has worked on-air at Cox Media Group Athens GA. He will also serve as Program Director for WOVO and Rock “98.3 The Edge” W252CV/WPTQ-HD2.
Original Report 12/27: After running Christmas music as “North Pole Radio“, Seven Mountains Media’s newly acquired 106.3 WOVO Horse Cave/Bowling Green KY has begun a “Wheel of Formats” stunt running blocks including Classic Rock, All-Elvis, Classic Country, Television Themes, and “Hippie Nonsense”.
The station is including sweepers redirecting WOVO’s former Hot AC audience to new sister station CHR 107.1 WUHU, as well as promoting new formats for 106.3 as well as Country “Beaver 96.7” WBVR-FM Auburn. The “Beaver” brand will relocate to 106.3, with 96.7 flipping to Classic Country as “Bigfoot Country Legends” replicating the brand utilized by the company across Pennsylvania. Both 96.7 and 106.3 are Class C2 signals, with the former located a little further south.
