In Pittsburgh
Looks like CBS is adding to its stable of Free-FM branded FM Talkers… Or is it? The wildly rumored format change from Rock to Hot Talk at 93.7 WRKZ will be branded as “93.7 The Zone – Pittsburgh’s Man Station” on April 2.
Opie & Anthony will be retained for mornings, however Kidd Chris’ simulcast from Philadelphia appears to be gone. Former WDVE personality Scott Paulson will handle afternoons on the station.
For those Net Gnomes out there, see the construction of the new website at http://itm-1013.com. Intertech Media, which designs all of CBS Radio’s websites seems to use publicly accessible web domains for all of its test sites. The site uses the template used by all of the “Free-FM” branded stations, some of which have begun phasing out the name.
UPDATE TUESDAY 3/20: After much of this report was cloned at AllAccess this morning, the website has been placed under password protection. For more information on the new 93.7 format including call letters head on over to PBRTV.

Discuss this at our Pittsburgh Board.
At RadioInsight
We’re about to reach our first birthday at RadioInsight and it’s been quite an interesting ride so far.
A lot has changed in the radio world since we put the first radio discussion board on the web in 1997. And we think we’re about to come up with the next big evolution for the radio community.
It’ll be a few more weeks before we’ll have the evolution complete. In the meantime please contact us with your suggestions and thoughts on what RadioInsight should feature.
